Mercedes-Benz splits routine maintenance into two alternating visits: Service A and Service B. Knowing what each covers makes it easier to keep the car on schedule. And a Mercedes kept on schedule can last a very long time.
Service A
Service A is due after 10,000 miles or one year of driving, whichever comes first. It covers the basics of preventive maintenance:
- oil and filter change, with synthetic oil
- tire pressure check, and adjustment if needed
- check of all fluid levels, topped off as needed
- brake inspection
- reset of the maintenance counter
Service B
Service B follows at 20,000 miles. It includes:
- oil and filter change, with synthetic oil
- brake inspection and brake fluid change
- cabin dust or combination filter change
- check and top-off of all fluids
- tire pressure check, and adjustment if needed
- reset of the maintenance counter
These intervals apply to 2009 and newer models under normal driving conditions. For older cars or other conditions, check your owner's manual or ask us.
And Service C
There is no factory Service C. Ours is simple: keep to A, attend to B, and bring the car to people who know it. We have helped Plano drivers maintain their cars since 2011.
Built to go the distance
It is not unusual for a well-kept Mercedes-Benz to pass 200,000 miles. The manufacturer even recognizes high-mileage owners with a Star and Laurel badge and a certificate, awarded at 155,000, 310,000, 466,000, 621,000 and 1,000,000 miles.
