Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data Luxur Automotive collects through this website, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to luxurauto.com and the forms on it. It does not cover other websites we link to.

Who we are

Luxur Automotive is an automotive repair and paint protection business at 8660 Ohio Dr, Plano, TX 75024. We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us on (469) 369-1000, through our contact form, or by post or in person at the address above.

What we collect

We collect only what you give us through a form, and a small amount of technical data needed to run and protect the site.

  • Booking service: your name, mobile number and email; your vehicle (year, make and model, and the VIN only if you choose to give it); the service or symptom; whether you will wait or drop the car off, including after hours; your preferred date and time; and any notes.
  • Protection quote: your vehicle; the coverage, finish and add-ons you choose; any photos of the car you decide to upload; and your contact details.
  • Contact, Buy/Sell and VIP Club forms: your name, phone number and email, your message, and any vehicle details you include.
  • Job applications: your name, phone number and email, the roles you are interested in, your experience, and a résumé if you attach one.
  • Technical data: when you visit, our hosting and security providers process your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from spam and abuse.
  • Analytics: only if you accept analytics cookies (see below).

We do not take payments on this website, and we do not ask for sensitive data such as health information, precise location or government ID numbers.

How we use it

  • To reply to you, and to book, carry out and follow up on the work you ask for.
  • To prepare a protection quote.
  • To send you confirmations and updates about your request by text message or email.
  • To consider a job application.
  • To keep the site secure and block automated or abusive submissions.
  • With your consent, to understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

We use form data only for the request you made. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Photos and files you upload

Photos sent with a quote request, and a résumé sent with a job application, are delivered to our team as email attachments. The website does not keep a copy. From then on they are handled like the rest of your request, and deleted on the same schedule.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that process it on our behalf and under our instructions:

  • website hosting, security and spam protection (Cloudflare, including Cloudflare Turnstile);
  • the email and text message services that deliver your request to our team and our replies to you;
  • the shop management system we use to schedule and record work on your car;
  • Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.

We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

Cookies, analytics and Global Privacy Control

The site uses only the storage it needs to work, such as remembering your cookie choice. If you start a booking, your progress may be saved in your own browser so you can pick up where you left off.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are set only after you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal: analytics stays off, and the signal counts as a request to opt out of any sale of personal data or targeted advertising.

The map on our Visit and Contact pages loads from Google only when you choose to show it. Google then receives your IP address and handles it under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We delete lead records (booking requests, quote requests, messages, Buy/Sell and VIP Club enquiries, and job applications) 24 months after we receive them, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or the law requires us to keep them longer. Records of work carried out on your car are kept in our shop management system for as long as we need them to service the car and meet our legal obligations.

Your rights

Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and as a matter of our own practice for everyone, you can ask us to:

  • confirm whether we process your personal data, and give you access to it;
  • correct inaccurate personal data;
  • delete personal data you gave us or that we obtained about you;
  • give you a copy of the personal data you gave us, in a portable format where technically feasible;
  • opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, and profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We do none of these, but you may still ask.

We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. Requests are free of charge up to twice a year. We will reply within 45 days. If we need more time, we may extend that once by a further 45 days, and we will tell you why. To protect your data, we will take reasonable steps to confirm your identity before we act on a request. You may use an authorized agent to opt out on your behalf.

Appeals

If we decline to act on your request, you can appeal by contacting us in any of the ways above within a reasonable time. We will respond to an appeal within 60 days and explain our decision in writing. If your appeal is denied, you can contact the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov.

Children

This site is not directed to children, and no part of it is designed to attract anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. We use appropriate physical, electronic and managerial safeguards to protect the data we collect, and limit access to the people who need it to serve you. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send more than a request needs.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when our practices change, and change the date at the top of the page. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site.
